On 12 March 2026, military forces supported by pro-regime militia shelled a position of the National Guard fighters in Majdal town in rural As Sweida, with 23mm cannons and heavy weapons, and injured a member of the guard fighters, leading the last to respond by shelling the positions of the first in the areas of Mansura, Tal Hadid and Rimet Hazem. There were no fatalities.
