On 12 March 2026, armed clashes erupted between National Guard fighters and the Syrian Army on the Majdal - Mansura axis in the countryside of As Sweida. During the clashes, National Guard fighters shot down three suicide drones affiliated with the Syrian Army, while the Syrian Army shelled the town. One member of the National Guard was wounded during the clashes. There were no fatalities.
