On 12 March 2026, an unidentified drone crashed in Tuwayliah village in Dibis district (Kirkuk). Reasons for the falls remain unclear, possibly due to ground defenses or technical failure pending technical probes. The drone was launched by an unidentified armed group (likely linked to Iranian-backed groups due to ongoing hostilities between the United States, Israel, and Iran). Security forces secured the sites and opened an investigation. There were no casualties.
