On 12 March 2026, Wazalendo clashed with M23/AFC with heavy and small arms in the Ibuga area in Kashuga (Masisi, Nord-Kivu). Civilians fled or sought shelter due to the intensity of the clashes. After several hours, Wazalendo forces withdrew, leaving the area under M23/AFC control. There were fatalities and injuries on both sides. Unspecified fatalities coded as 3.
