Other MoA event in Ouest, Port-au-Prince - Bicentenaire area, Haiti on Thu 12th March 2026

On 12 March 2026, in Port-au-Prince - Bicentenaire, Ouest, police forces supported by the Task Force Police (coded as Police forces) engaged in clashes with the Viv Ansanm Gang on several streets between the Bicentenaire neighborhood and the close Morne a Tuf neighborhood (coded separately). Clashes in Bicentenaire were registered on the Chareron, Joseph Janvier, Fort Saint Claire, and Grande-Rue (a.k.a. Jean-Jacques Boulevard) streets. At least 10 gang members were killed during the clashes in Fort Saint Claire. The Task Force Police launched drones charged with explosives. A M-16 riffle was seized. This was part of a security operation aiming at dismantling gang bases in the downtown. The gang members set fire to several buildings, a garage, and a public bus. At least 10 fatalities.
