On 11 March 2026, in Kutkai Town (Kutkai township, Muse district, Shan-North state), a group of about 30 members of the Ta'ang National Liberation Army (PSLF/TNLA) surrounded a house and captured 2 members of the People's Defense Force - Mandalay inside it at around 3:30 pm. The PSLF/TNLA also seized 40 guns, 5000 bullets, 8 million kyat, a fire safe, 2 cars and 2 motorcycles.
