On 11 March 2026, near Sumhrang village (Falam township, Falam district, Chin state), unidentified local resistance forces attacked Myanmar military troops who came to collect rations and ammunition airdropped by the military using heavy weapons. In response, the military returned fire using RPGs and drones. A military troop was killed, and 3 others, including a squad commander, sustained injuries. 1 fatality.
