On 11 March 2026, around 8:35am Muscat time, suspected Iranian forces (coded as IRGC by default) launched an unspecified projectile (coded as drone based on previous activity) that directly impacted the Mayuree Naree bulk carrier (IMO: 9323649) in the Strait of Hormuz, around 25 nm north to northeast of Khasab in Oman. The ship was trying to cross the strait eastbound when attacked. The attack caused a fire on the ship and various injuries to an unspecified number of sailors onboard. The fire was eventually extinguished and 20 out the 23 Thai members of the crew were rescued from the ship, with the remaining 3 reported as unlocated. Fatalities unknown.
