On 11 March 2026, overnight, an unidentified armed group clashed with FARDC forces at a Chinese-operated mining site in Mavuvu (Mambasa, Ituri) and Muchacha (coded separately). Several homes, motorcycles, and the mining site were set on fire. Many displaced civilians spent the night outdoors, while others fled toward Badengaido. FARDC forces were deployed to secure the area and pursue the attackers. There were no casualties.
