On 10 March 2026, in Zee Kone village (Tigyaing township, Katha district, Sagaing region), the Myanmar military launched two airstrikes by dropping two bombs on a monastery at about 1 pm without an armed clash occurring. 2 Buddhist monks, 3 novices, and 4 civilians were killed on the spot, while an 8-year-old girl died on the way while being taken to a hospital. The monastery and some nearby houses were also damaged. 10 fatalities.
