On 10 March 2026, near Oe Bo Ka Tauk village (Homalin township, Hkamti district, Sagaing region), the Myanmar military launched airstrikes and fired mortars at bamboo rafts used for gold mining along the Chindwin River. 6 gold mining workers were injured, one of whom sustained critical injuries. Two rafts were also burned down.
