On 9 March 2026, in Nar Khwin Kyin village (coded as Indaw) (Indaw township, Katha district, Sagaing region), the Myanmar military launched airstrikes by dropping two bombs on the monastery sheltered by IDPs using a fighter jet at about 12:15 pm. A boy, aged around 14 or 15, sustained injuries, and the monastery's brick wall and some nearby houses were damaged.
