On 9 March 2026, in Ta Hpi Lay Kho village (coded as Palaw) (Palaw township, Myeik district, Tanintharyi region), the Myanmar military conducted airstrikes and dropped two 500-pound bombs on a school using a jet fighter at around 12:30 pm. 6 civilians (a 6-year-old girl, two 11-year-old boys and 3 men in their forties) were killed and three 13-year-old boys were injured. 6 fatalities.
