On 9 March 2026, in Bokpyin township (Kawthoung district, Tanintharyi region), a combined force of the Karen National Liberation Army (KNU/KNLA) Brigade-4 Battalion-203 and allies attacked a column of the Myanmar military soldiers from LIB-559, 560, 358 and 224 near the 5-mile post on the Lay Nyar-Yadanapon road section at around 10:00 am. In response, the military soldiers fired heavy weapons. The combined force seized an MA1 gun and two MA3 guns. 4 military soldiers were killed and at least 10 others were injured. 4 fatalities.
