On 9 March 2026, forces affiliated with Mohammed Bahroun and the 52nd Brigade of Mahmoud Bin Rajab clashed, including with heavy gunfire, along Al-Qana Street in Az Zawiyah (Az Zawiyah, West). The fighting erupted after Bahroun's militia attacked an armored vehicle of the 52nd Brigade and killed 2 of its occupants, one of them instantly and the other after seriously wounding him. Some media outlets stated that Bahroun had also been injured during the armed clash, but his whereabouts and condition were unknown. At least one additional member of Bahroun's militia was injured. 2 fatalities coded.
