On 8 March 2026, unidentified armed persons (likely Afghan military forces, given origin of attack and ongoing cross-border clashes) launched mortar shells landing on a residential house located in Gul Lak Khel village near the border area of Ghulam Khan town (North Waziristan, KPK), causing explosions and severely damaging the structure. Two children were killed and three others injured in the incident. Total 2 fatalities and 3 injured.
