On 8 March 2026, near Wet Hmay village (coded as Wet Hmay - Kan Taw) (Salingyi township, Yinmarbin district, Sagaing region), an artillery shell fired by the Myanmar military landed near the village at about 3 pm. Another artillery shell fired by the Myanmar military also landed in the Wet Hmay village at about 3 pm and the shell failed to detonate. There were no casualties.
