On 8 March 2026, near Aung Zay Ya village (coded as Yinmarbin) (Yinmarbin township, Yinmarbin district, Sagaing region), a combined force of the Union Liberation Front and the Kani 9+ Column carried out mine attacks against Myanmar military troops using 16 mines in the morning. In response, the military indiscriminately returned fire using small weapons. Khit Thit Media reported that at least 30 military troops were injured and killed. Fatalities coded as 15.
