On 8 March 2026, in Wei Lar Taung village (coded as Maungdaw) (Maungdaw township, Maungdaw district, Rakhine state), the Arakan Rohingya Salvation Army conducted a mine attack against a vehicle carrying both civilians and the Arakan Army members on the route to Maung Seik area. The mine attack killed two Arakan Army members, and one Arakan Army member was missing. 2 fatalities.
