On 8 March 2026, at 2:40 AM local time, the Israeli Navy struck a room with a missile at the Ramada Hotel in the Raouche area of Beirut - Ras Beirut (Beirut, Beirut). The Emergency Operations Center of the Lebanese Ministry of Public Health announced that four people were killed and 10 others were injured in the attack. The IDF claimed the strike killed five members of Iran's Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) - Quds Force who were staying at the hotel. According to the Israeli military, the individuals served in the IRGC Quds Force's Lebanon Corps and Palestine Corps, which act as liaison entities between the IRGC and Hezbollah and Hamas. The targeted members reportedly included Majid Hassini, described by the IDF as a senior financial operative in the Lebanon Corps responsible for transferring funds from Iran to proxy groups in Lebanon, including Hezbollah and Hamas. Other individuals named were Ali Reza Bi-Azar, chief of intelligence in the Lebanon Corps; Ahmad Rasouli, chief of intelligence in the Palestine Corps; Hossein Ahmadlou, a lower-ranking intelligence operative in the Lebanon Corps; and Abu Muhammad Ali, Hezbollah's representative in the Palestine Corps.
