On 8 March 2026, Fano clashed with ENDF, Amhara regional riot police, and Kebele militia in Feredo Wuha and Tereter in Kara Legoma (Eferatana Gidem, North Shewa, Amhara), and Seramba Serdo Kebele (coded separately), leading to the killings and injuries of forces on both sides. The Fano forces launched an offensive in Kara Legoma Kebele, which later expanded to Seramba Serdo following a counter-offensive by the state security forces.
