On 8 March 2026, for the fourth consecutive day, FARDC-UPDF coalition attacked and clashed with ADF in four ADF camps in Mambasa (Mambasa, Ituri) to flush out the militants from the Okapi Wildlife Reserve in the Ituri forest. The four camps were shelled and destroyed. FARDC-UPDF seized more than 100 kg of explosive devices, individual arms, food production mills, a food depot, and a camera. They also released a dozen hostages. At least 4 ADF officers, including the personal doctor of the ADF military chief, Moussa Baluku, were killed. Fatalities split across 5 events, coded 1 for this event.
