On 7 March 2026, Afghan border forces and Pakistani military forces clashed on the Torkham-Jalalabad border near the Torkham area (Landi Kotal, Khyber, KPK), during which shelling occurred. Over 150 shops were reported to have been destroyed in shelling on the Torkham/Jalalabad border area. Afghanistan stated suffering a loss of 300 million in damages to infrastructure and goods. Pakistan officials stated that their military only targeted military targets of the Afghan Taliban and blamed the Afghan Taliban for the damage to civilian infrastructure. No casualties.
