Around 7 March 2026 (as reported), in Dawei township (Dawei district, Tanintharyi region), fighting broke out between the Myanmar military and the local resistance groups near the Dawei industrial zone. There were drone strikes and heavy weapons were fired during the armed clash. Casualties unknown.
