On 7 March 2026, in Yae Twin Kone village tract (coded as Yae Twin Kone Ywar Ma) (Nyaunglebin township, Bago district, Bago-East), the combined forces of the Karen National Liberation Army (KNLA)'s Commando forces, Battalion 7, Battalion 9 and its drone units, the People's Defense Force - Bago Region, the People's Defense Force - Bago District Battalion 3702, the Spring Warriors Column, the Royal Peacock Column, the Seven Ravens Column, and the People's Defense Force - Bago District Battalion 3703 attacked the Myanmar military to rescue the detained civilians from the village tract in the evening. The attack was carried out under Operation People's Liberation. More than 300 detained civilians were rescued during two-day operation (7 - 8 March 2026). During the clash, 9 members from the People's Defense Force - Bago Region and 2 members from the KNLA Battalion 7 and Battalion 9 were killed, and 7 combined force members were injured. More than 10 Myanmar military soldiers were killed, and around 20 Myanmar military soldiers were injured. 21 fatalities split across two days (7 - 8 March), coded as 11 for this event. 11 fatalities.
