On 7 March 2026, unidentified aircraft carried out airstrikes targeting two positions of the PMF, including the headquarters of the 40th Brigade (Kataib Imam Ali Brigades) and the PMF 33rd Regiment, in Hammam al Alil district, and Qayyarah district south of Mosul (Ninewa), killing one PMF fighter and injuring three others while causing material damage to the facilities. 1 fatality.
