On 7 March 2026, in La Conquista (Arauca), military forces clashed with members of the Capitan Dumar structure of the ELN, killing one of the suspects and arresting six others. Troops rescued seven minors, suspected as Venezuelan nationals, who had been recruited by the armed group and seized 12 long guns, 3 handguns, a high-precision scope, over 2,400 cartridges, grenades, explosives, communication radios, and quartermaster supplies. 1 fatality.
