On 7 March 2026, at an unspecified time, IRGC forces claimed to launch 1 'destructive' drone targeting the Prima chemical/product carrier (IMO: 9427433) while it was transitioning through the Strait of Hormuz. The IRGC claimed to target the ship after it did not heed the IRCG's 'repeated warnings' about the Iranian ban of passage through the strait. Independent third-party sources and the company managing the ship did not corroborate the attack, with the latter stating that the ship was off the coast of Mozambique during the time of the purported attack.
