Benue troops arrest five suspects, recover arms and ammunition in Otukpo LGA

Troops of Sect 1 OPWS deployed at FOB Otukpo carried out a fighting patrol on March 23, 2026, targeting a suspected terrorist enclave at Amla Icho in Otukpo Local Government Area.

During the operation, troops apprehended five suspects and recovered six locally fabricated guns, sixteen empty cartridges, one motorcycle, three machetes, and six mobile phones, among other items.

All suspects and recovered materials are in the custody of the troops for further investigation and necessary action.

The operation is part of continuous security efforts to disrupt criminal and insurgent activities in Benue State.
