A 15-year-old boy died after being shot at Rosengård in Malmö. Two young people were arrested and detained. A 35-year-old man has also been detained for aiding and abetting murder.

At 6:39 p.m. on Wednesday, the police were alerted to a suspected shooting on Ramels Road.

A 15-year-old boy was taken to hospital by ambulance with unknown injuries. Police later announced that he had died from his injuries. Next of kin have been notified.

Three people arrested

A 15-year-old girl and a 17-year-old boy were arrested at the scene.

– They are jointly suspected of murder. Whether they know the person who has died or not I do not know at this time, but that is of course one of the parts we are looking at, said police spokesman Filip Annas on Wednesday evening.

Both were arrested and are suspected of murder and aggravated weapons offenses. A 35-year-old man is arrested and suspected of aiding and abetting murder.

Several people at the scene

The crime scene was cordoned off for forensic examination and the police checked surveillance cameras in the area and questioned witnesses.

– There were reportedly several people at the scene when it happened. But we will find out if the people saw the actual shooting, says Filip Annas.

The investigation continues with door-knocking, interrogations and trace analysis. A major mapping effort into the suspects' movements is being initiated, says Filip Annas.

– Their respective roles are what we will investigate now.
