Two soldiers were killed on the spot when the Upper Burma Alliance (USBA) intercepted a military council column advancing through villages in Sinbaungwe Township, Magway Region.

The clash occurred yesterday, March 15, at approximately 9:30 a.m. near the railway tracks between Sule Kone, Sai Su, and Shar Tine Gyi villages, lasting about 10 minutes.

Regarding the engagement, USBA information officer Ko Thar Cho stated: "We personally witnessed two soldiers die instantly on the spot. We did not manage to seize any weapons or ammunition from them."

The military column reportedly transported the deceased and wounded away by motorboat along the Irrawaddy River and remains stationed in the surrounding forested hills to maintain area control.
