A military convoy traveling from Koepin-Aunglan toward Nay Pyi Taw on the Yangon-Mandalay No. 2 Highway in Taungdwingyi Township, Magway Region, was attacked with directional mines by allied People's Defense Forces, according to an official from the Punnawadi (Taungdwingyi) PDF.

The attack took place yesterday afternoon, March 15, on a stretch of road between Sat Thwar and Koepin villages in Taungdwingyi Township. It is reported that many soldiers were killed and one military vehicle was struck and destroyed in the blast.

The operation was a joint effort between the Punnawadi (Taungdwingyi) PDF and the Southern Magway People's Defense Team.
