A large number of people were killed when military fighter jets bombed and strafed gold mining rafts in the Thaphan Seik Reservoir in Kyunhla Township, Sagaing Region, according to reports from local news source Infinity Group and workers on the rafts.

At approximately 3:30 p.m. yesterday, March 15, the terrorist military launched an unprovoked air attack on gold mining rafts located on the Kawlin side of the Thaphan Seik Reservoir. Witnesses stated that the aircraft dropped bombs and opened fire with machine guns. The strikes caused the rafts to catch fire, resulting in numerous deaths and injuries among the workers.
