Projectile event in Sagaing Region, Yinmabin Township area, Myanmar on Sat 7th March 2026

A terrorist military column emerging from the Chinese Yangtze Company in Salingyi Township, Sagaing Region, was attacked by allied revolutionary forces using heavy and light weapons, resulting in 10 soldiers killed and approximately 40 others wounded, according to Ko Phyo, the person in charge of the Pwint Taing Kyaw Heavy Weapons Force.

On March 7, revolutionary forces intercepted a military column of about 300 troops as they left the Yangtze Company premises heading toward Yinmabin town for a personnel exchange. The attack involved five heavy weapon rounds along with small arms fire. While the military council suffered high casualties during the engagement, no weapons or ammunition were seized. After completing the personnel exchange in Yinmabin, the column returned to the Yangtze Company compound.
