Grenade event in Kachin State, Mohnyin area, Myanmar on Fri 13th March 2026

KIA-led allied forces launched an offensive against the terrorist military's Lonton base in the Indawgyi area of Mohnyin Township, Kachin State, capturing several security outposts, six bodies, some prisoners of war, and 13 weapons, a local military source told Khit Thit Media.

On the night of March 13, KIA/KPDF allied forces attacked the Lonton base, where terrorist military troops and SNA (Shanni Nationalities Army) militia forces were jointly stationed. It is reported that several of the military's security outposts were captured during the assault.

Furthermore, 13 various weapons and six bodies belonging to SNA members were seized, and some prisoners of war were captured alive. It was learned that during the battle, soldiers from the terrorist military were the first to flee, leaving the SNA forces to suffer heavy casualties.
