Literally from the NPU : "During the verification of documents of a suspicious man, he opened fire on the police squad. Police Captain Oleg Zakharenko, senior police officer of Police Department No. 4 of the Kramatorsk District Police Department, died on the spot from gunshot wounds."

Details : The incident occurred around 11:30 a.m. on March 19.

The police added that the attacker fled. Efforts to apprehend him are currently underway.
