On 6 March 2026, Israeli warplanes carried out an airstrike and the Israeli military fired artillery shells in Khiyam town (Marjayoun, Al Nabatieh). Hezbollah fighters carried out a rocket attack targeting Israeli army vehicles in Wadi Al Assafir neighborhood. The IDF announced that eight of its soldiers from the Givato Brigade were injured in an incident at the Lebanon border, during fighting with Hezbollah (coded to this event).
