On 6 March 2026, Israeli warplanes carried out at least one airstrike and the Israeli military fired artillery shells in Qouzah town (Bint Jbeil, Al Nabatieh). It is believed that one of two of the Israeli artillery shells fired struck a compound of UNIFIL's Ghanian Brigade, leading to the injury of three peacekeepers. UNIFIL stated that during intense gunfire and attacks, its brigade got hit without specifying the origin of fire.
