On 6 March 2026, a drone launched by an unidentified armed group (likely linked to Iranian-backed groups due to ongoing hostilities between the United States, Israel, and Iran) crashed near the headquarters of the oil companies KBR and Halliburton in in Al Taqa city near Al Burjisiyah city (location unknown, coded as Al Burjisiyah city, Al Basrah). It hit chemical storage facilities and caused fire. Earlier on the same day another projectile (likely drone) targeted Bakers company in the same area. Casualties unknown.
