On 6 March 2026, in Las Canas, Michoacan, armed men traveling in two pickup trucks shot at military officers during a patrol on the Las Canas-Arteaga-Infiernillo road. The officers answered the attack. Two suspected attackers were killed and two marines resulted injured during the confrontation. 2 fatalities.
