On 6 March 2026, JNIM targeted a convoy of pinasses transporting food supplies, using a drone equipped with IEDs near the village of Kouli (Diafarabe, Tenenkou, Mopti). The Malian army intervened, conducting an airstrike that repelled the militants. 2 civilians were killed. Local sources also stated that 3 civilians were killed. The number of militant casualties is unknown. 2 fatalities coded as per the lowest estimate available.
