On 5 March 2026, the Ministry of Intelligence and IRGC launched a preventive operation against separatists supported by the US and Israel that were planning to enter the country by the western borders (coded to Qasr e Shirin, Central, Kermanshah) to carry out attack with separatist intentions. The Iranian attack was able to destroy positions, facilities, and also resulted in heavy losses to the separatists. The Ministry of Intelligence in cooperarion with a Kurdish group will monitor the border areas. Unspecified number of fatalities coded as 10.
