On 5 March 2026, Israeli warplanes carried out at least three airstrikes in Haret Hreik (Baabda, Mount Lebanon). The Israeli military announced that a top Hezbollah commander was killed in an airstrike in Beirut (likely referring to the southern suburbs). The commander was responsible for Hezbollah's 'firepower management' and served as the head of its artillery forces in southern Lebanon. The commander also previously served as commander of the Al-Khayyam sector and participated in combat in Syria alongside the Assad regime. 1 fatality coded to this event.
