On 5 March 2026, in Arroio dos Ratos (Rio Grande do Sul), three unidentified gunmen wearing police uniforms invaded a residence in the Alto da Bela Vista neighborhood and shot and killed two women and a teenage girl inside the house using a 9 mm firearm. One of the victims had prior records for drug trafficking, another was the partner of a drug trafficker, and the victims were suspected to have links to the Bala na Cara drug trafficking group, which is involved in disputes with rival groups in the region. 3 fatalities.
