On 4 March 2026, in 6 Maing village (Tanintharyi township, Myeik district, Tanintharyi region), the combined troops of the People's Defense Force - Myeik District Battalion - 2 Company - 1 and the Battalion - 3 attacked the Myanmar military column stationed at a monastery around 3:30 pm. 4 military soldiers including an officer were killed and the PDF troops seized two weapons. 3 members of the People's Defense Force - Myeik District Battalion - 2 were also injured. 4 fatalities.
