On 4 March 2026, Baloch Republican Guard militants attacked the police station and other government buildings while setting up blockades on two main highways on Luni Road and Nadi Gaj Road in Galu town (coded as Loni, Sibi, Balochistan), taking all the police personnel in custody and seizing the weapons and other military equipment. A Frontier Corps vehicle advancing in the area was hit by an IED, resulting in casualties among the personnel on board. Casualties unknown.
