On 4 March 2026, Iranian forces (coded as IRGC by default) conducted a drone strike targeting the Amerya settlement in the Azadi Camp (Koysinjaq, Erbil). Casualties unknown. The camp houses members of the Kurdish opposition group, the Kurdistan Democratic Party of Iran (KDPI) and their families. One drone fell on the camp's health center. Iran's Khatam al-Anbiya military command announced that it conducted strikes against what it described as separatist groups located in the Kurdistan Region of Iraq, accusing them of planning to cross the border into Iran and carry out attacks.
