On 4 March 2026, in Florianopolis (Santa Catarina), military police officers clashed with and killed four suspected drug traffickers in the Papaquara community. The clash occurred after reports that armed individuals were firing weapons in the area amid a suspected attempt by a rival group to invade the territory. Authorities seized four firearms, 242 rounds of ammunition of various calibers, five mobile phones, four power banks, four radio communicators, two charging bases, clothing used for escape, and approximately 20 grams of marijuana. 4 fatalities.
