On 3 March 2026, Afghanistan military and Pakistan military forces clashed along the Pakistan-Afghanistan border areas including Ghazluna, Khan Dagar, and Sur Jungle (coded as Zhob, Balochistan). Pakistani forces foiled Afghan attempts to cut border barbed wire at several locations and claimed control of multiple checkpoints. The clash came as Pakistan army launched a large-scale counter-operation using artillery, rocket launchers, anti-tank guided missiles (ATGMs), mortars, main battle tanks, and swarm drones directed at the Afghan military units. Casualities unknown.
