3rd March 2026
Around 3 March 2026 (as reported), according to the press-report published by the Federal Security Service, Ukrainian 'handlers' (coded as HUR) remotely blew up an IED that was held by a recruited saboteur in Yekaterinburg, Sverdlovsk. The agency stated that the IED was activated when the FSB agents started approaching the man, who was planning to assassinate an unspecified head of a military-industrial enterprise using a car bomb. The man who was in possession of the explosive died. Partisan groups and independent Russian sources questioned the agency's story and concluded that the footage of the event was heavily doctored.
